From there, we explore textures, material and furniture that reflect and accentuate the individuality of the project, so that each space is unique and visually sumptuous.
Principal, Chief Designer
Joy Chang graduated with an interior design degree in Taiwan and has completed an architecture design program in Japan. She has more than 20 years of experience working interior design and architectural design.
Prior to starting up her own practice, Joy worked for several major developers and design consulting firms in Japan, Taiwan and Vancouver. She started her career as an entry level designer, and throughout her career path, she eventual became the head of the design department, overseeing many major projects from design conception to completion.
Joy believes that a truly beautiful design should be a harmonious fusion of material, architectural elements and design aesthetics. With her background in interior design and architectural design, she combines these elements together to create spaces that incorporate her design principles while still reflecting the unique individualism of her clients. She is greatly influenced by Japanese "Zen" culture, where she considers minimalism to be the ultimate design aesthetic. It is also featured in many of her designs showcased on this website.
Joy actively participates in local media in TV shows, radio shows and magazines to discuss and write about design related topics, sharing her knowledge and aesthetic philosophy as well as trends in design to her audience and readers.
